  2. Desirable: A luxury yacht available from the Princess Motor Yachts range

The pinnacle of the range is the three-deck monster known as the Princess 40M “super yacht”.

Jacuzzis, al fresco dining areas and accommodation for up to 12 guests are among its top features.

Burton Waters has entered a new partnership to sell Princess yachts, which are some of the most sought-after vessels on the market.

The company says it is one of the most significant deals in its history.

Director Adam Cox says the company now hopes to increase its workforce at its two sites by ten per cent a year to meet rising demand.

“This deal will allow us to create skilled jobs in Ipswich and Lincoln and it will also strengthen the region’s position as the home of motor yachting in the UK,” he said.

“It will provide a wider benefit to the local economy as a greater number of wealthy visitors flock here to experience yachting along the east of England’s beautiful waterways and coastline.”

Princess Motor Yachts Sales, who signed the deal with Burton Waters, offers a range of boats costing between £286,000 and £14 million.

All of the yachts can be bought from the marina, with a range of the boats on show.

Mr Cox said the deal was a major milestone for the business.

“This is a fantastic brand, it’s like having a McLaren or a Bentley,” he said.

“And there is no-one else trading with Princess on the east coast.

“We’ve been here for 25 years and this is the most exciting thing that has happened to the company.”

Burton Waters Boat Sales has been owned and run by the same family for 25 years.

It is one of the largest motor yacht dealerships in the UK and sells 200 boats a year.

After starting from its base at Brayford Pool in Lincoln, the company moved to Burton Waters.

Emma Tatlow, Visit Lincoln Partnership Manager, said: “The news about Burton Waters Boat Sales and the luxury yacht market is really positive for Lincoln – it is great to see this businesses growing and expanding into new markets. This could also bring additional value to Lincoln’s Visitor Economy by attracting new audiences into the city; anyone visiting Burton Waters considering purchasing a yacht should be encouraged to come and spend some leisure time in the city.”
