Libya: Italian fishing boats ‘on their way home’ after row resolved

PALERMO, Italy — Nineteen Italian fishermen and their three boats, impounded by Libya in June, were due to head home Thursday after diplomats managed to negotiate their release.

The freeing of the fishermen came after a military court on Wednesday ordered their boat owners to pay a fine of 4,000 euros.
