Cap on boat sales tax / More urgent now


Two months ago, this newspaper urged New Jersey to bring its sales tax on boats in line with other East Coast states by capping the tax at $20,000. Developments since then have strengthened the argument in favor of the cap and made enactment of it more urgent.
