“We like to see the new ideas, the different styles they come up with.”Said Camper Allen Hoffman.
It gets everybody excited, it gets everybody into spring fever. It’s great for the industry because it’s always growing and people that have never camped before end up buying campers because they’ve got friends and family that do it and it’s all about having fun.” Said Nate Miller of Rich and Sons Camper Sales.
Today’s camper and boat show at Fonner Park in Grand Island opened quite a few eyes as local residents checked out a new line of mobile homes, luxurious enough to have some people thinking about hitting the road for long trips.
“We’re getting to the age where we might want to venture to Florida or Arizona and stay for the winter.” Said Hoffman.
“We call them snowbirds, they’ll take a big 40 foot fifth wheel that has living quarters, washer, dryer and live in it for 6 months out of the year.” Said Miller.
While you may think it’s a little too early to imagine hitting the road in a new fifth wheel camper, experts say that now is the best time to lock down this new summer toy.
“It’s the latest floor plans, the newest models and when camping season starts you don’t want to be shopping so now is a great time to do your shopping and when camping season hits it’s campfires and marshmellows.” Said Miller
