Amazing prizes up for grabs in Steamboat’s Boat Load Sweeps

Steamboat turns 50 next year. In anticipation of the big five-oh, Steamboat announced the winter-long Boat Load Sweeps today, offering generous giveaways throughout the season, including a 50th Anniversary VIP vacation for four during the 2012/2013 winter season and a heli-adventure for two with renowned Canadian Mountain Holidays (CMH).

“Steamboat’s Boat Load Sweeps kickstarts the fun as the resort gets ready to celebrate its 50th anniversary,” said Rob Perlman, senior vice president of marketing and sales for the Steamboat Ski Resort Corporation. “The Boat Load Sweeps is for everyone whether you’re a powder hound expert or a family that just likes the snow.”

The Boat Load Sweeps is offering two Grand Prizes, including a trip to Steamboat, Ski Town, U.S.A. during the 50th anniversary season and a heli-ski outing with Intrawest sister company, CMH, the inventors of heli-skiing excursions.

Monthly prizes will be awarded during January, February, March and April, which include a variety of giveaways such as SmartWool socks, GoPro cameras, Steamboat lift tickets, Rossignol skis and airline tickets into Steamboat. The two Grand Prizes will be announced in April at the culmination of the winter-long sweeps. See the Official Rules at http://steamboat.com/boatLoadLanding.aspx for details and restrictions.

“Steamboat is known for its Western hospitality, so it’s only natural that the resort celebrates our anniversary by giving presents to our guests,” continued Perlman. “With the Boat Load Sweeps, we invite everyone to join the fun and see what makes Steamboat one of the best resorts in North America.”

The 50th Anniversary VIP trip to Steamboat during the 2012/2013 season is a  vacation getaway for four, featuring round trip airline tickets to Steamboat/Hayden or Denver, airport transfers, five-night accommodations in a Steamboat Grand penthouse or other luxury unit, 4-day lift tickets, half-day skiing with Steamboat’s Director of Skiing Olympic medalist, Billy Kidd (subject to availability), two group private lessons, demo ski rentals from Steamboat Ski Sport Pro Shop, visit for four to the Old Town Hot Springs and two one-hour massages at the Grand Spa.

The CMH trip for two includes up to 4-days of heli-skiing in famous remote Canadian backcountry ski locations, five-nights lodging, transfers from Calgary and meals (travel to and any lodging in Calgary is not included). CMH offers The World’s Greatest Heli-Skiing and has been taking guests heli-skiing in British Columbia for over 40 years.
